Financial Planning for Families of People with Disabilities

Road Map to the Future: Financial Planning For Families of People with Disabilities The Diocese of Saskatoon Catholic Foundation and Inclusion Saskatchewan (formerly the Saskatchewan Association for Community Living) are delivering a free presentation regarding estate and financial planning for families of people with disabilities at 7 p.m. Jan. 31 at the Cathedral of the Holy Family, 123 Nelson Road, Saskatoon, SK. Jocelyne Hamoline will present a shortened version of the “Are Your Affairs in Order?” and Connie Andersen from Inclusion Saskatchewan will present on “Road Map to the Future: Financial Planning for Families of People with Disabilities.” This 2-hour session will help families and guardians make a person-centred plan for the son or daughter who experiences disability, create a circle of support, provide tools to help get finances organized, and information on testamentary trusts for future care.  Attendees will receive a complimentary copy of Road Map to the Future: A Financial Planning Guide for Families of People with Disabilities.   * Transitions - Have you gone through the painful experience of divorce and/or separation?  Do you feel alone, discouraged or hopeless? We can help! Beginning Tuesday, January 29, 2019 the Diocese of Saskatoon is again offering an 11-week program that will support you as you heal and rebuild your life. Transitions meets Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the Catholic Pastoral Centre (second floor of the Cathedral of the Holy Family, 123 Nelson Road, Saskatoon). The evenings are led by those who have already journeyed through what you are going through and have found some healing.  It is their wish that they pass on their experience, strength and hope of getting through the pain of divorce. Marriage Prep - Holy Spirit Parish

* Holy Spirit Parish offers a six session marriage preparation program for engaged couples and for couples contemplating marriage but not officially engaged. The next session begins on Sunday, Jan. 20, 2019 at 2 p.m. It continues each Sunday at 2pm until March 3, 2019 (skipping Feb. 17 due to the long weekend). Fee is $150. Dying Healed Workshop

Dying  Healed  Workshop  will be held January 19, 2019 from 9:00am-3:30pm at St. Philip Neri Church, 1902 Munroe Ave, Saskatoon, Sk.  Cost is $15 includes a workbook. Lunch and refreshments will be provided, (free will offering for lunch and refreshments). The Dying Healed Workshops  provide  comprehensive  education  on  palliative  care/end  of  life  issues  and  preliminary  training  for  palliative  and  hospice  care  volunteers.  Suitable  for  those  wishing  to  provide  compassion  and  support  to  those  in  need,  particularly  at end  of  life. * Saskatoon Regional CWL Quilters are resuming our quilting days on Monday, January 14, 2019. All ladies are welcome to join us. Our Lady’s Night, in honour of Mary, Thursday, January 10, 2019 from 7:30 PM to 10 PM at Holy Spirit parish, all women are invited to attend a prayerful and social women’s night. Our Lady’s night came about through a calling to pray together as women and to connect with other women from all walks of life. Mary brought us together which is why this evening is rooted in her love and charism. We encourage you to join us in this once a month evening of adoration, prayer, and socializing. This group is open to women 19 years of age and older. Feel free to invite others!
