JOY program begins second year

The Justice and Outreach Year (JOY) of Formation program kicked of its second year Sept. 15-16, with a new cohort of participants from across the Roman Catholic Diocese of Saskatoon. 

As the JOY program is a year-long immersion of learning from and working alongside people who experience life on the margins, the program began by offering an understanding of the lens through which we view the world.

Celeste Woloschuk is the new part-time Ecumenical and Interfaith Coordinator for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Saskatoon.

 

Nicholas Jesson, who served for many years as the diocesan Ecumenical Officer, recently left Saskatoon to become the Ecumenical Officer for the Archdiocese of Regina.

PHOTOS: Archbishop Donald Bolen of Regina returned to the diocese of Saskatoon for a joyful celebration June 29, 2017: the ordination of Fr. Edward Gibney and Fr. Michael Yaremko to the priesthood. 

The Cathedral of the Holy Family was full for the celebration, which was followed by a reception and an opportunity to recieve blessings from the newly ordained priests.
